I'm taking delivery this Friday of my 2008 310. It has analog tv's at the moment. I want to get digital converters added, and wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations on someone local who can do this. I am at Port Royale.

Thanks

I just did my own last weekend on my 2007 32. I got the converter box and had hard time to get it to work but once I understood all the help from csr it really was easy. Just hooked it up behind the tv as shown turn the tv to channel 3 then use the remote from the converter box an scan channels. and it should work.

If you have a few bucks forget the converter and get a new flatscreen TV. Better picture and no converter to find a place to put it.

Definitely, and get one with a built-in DVD player. Just added a 19" Hitachi at the bow of my 220. Another plus for flat screen, for the same screen size they are less drain on your battery.

I have a 10" Kec tv, does anyone know how to get it down from the ceiling so I can get to the cables? I pulled 4 screws out of the tv put it didn't come down.

3 minutes? I can't even get the tv down to get to the cables.

You should not need to remove the KEC 10" flip down to install a converter. Simply find the Glomex Antenna controls and tie your cables into them. You can even pick up the 12Volts that are needed to run your converter, that is if you bought a converter that is a 12V unit. Search posts from Dave S and he has great step by step directions.

It is the standard tv but can anyone tell me how to get the tv out? Thanks.

I have a 240DA, with the 7 in KEC flip-down tv. I am looking to add the converter as well. I removed the four screws and the tv dropped down from the header. All of the cabling runs up through and disappears into a plywood support. I'm still evaluating where to put the converter box.

I got a converter box from radio shack, and it was a quick and easy install. I had to take the tv down from the wall, but that was simple. Only issue is the converter is a "line of sight" remote, so I can't hide it in the cabinet behind the tv. I'll likely replace with a unit that can be hidden out of sight, but the process was simple. And there was a nice, convenient plug for the unit inside the wall behind the tv - thanks Sea Ray!

Hoard, Have you tried out the TV yet? On Allatoona we can't get anything because of the mountains around the lake. I heard Lanier is the same. We could only get a channel or two and they fade in and out so bad it's not worth turning on the tv.

Black Pearl- I'm getting about a dozen channels on Lanier - even at the dock under the metal roof. Really exceeding my expectations.

you can mount an IR remote eye on the outside of the cabinet so you can put the converter inside a cabinet...radio shack or best buy will have them. simple to install.
