My wife and I just bought an '08 47DB and are having difficulty getting the tv system to work. The boat has a bose system which I believe the tv's run through, but the cable tv through our dock won't pick up reception other than channel 54.1. We live and are docked in the Baltimore Harbor and would appreciate any suggestions on where we can get instruction on how this system works.

Does the boat have an A-B switch for the antenna system? Usually when the boat has both an antenna on the radar arch and a cable inlet, there is an A-B switch to select between them. Yours might be set to use the on-board antenna. If you do have the A-B switch in the correct position, it might be bad, but that would be unusual on a 2 year old boat.

I would guess your boat is outfitted with a Glomex over-the-air antenna and that the cable signal runs through the Glomex amplifier. Switching between cable and antenna is likely imbedded in the control for that, which is a small box usually located near the power panels. You need to locate that box and play with that, I believe the cable is active when the amp is turned all the way off.
