I am trying to sell my 2001 310 Sea Ray Sundancer. It is freshwater cooled and has 1100 hours. Is there a market for high hour boats? Not getting a lot of interest.

That’s not high hours for a 2001. Maybe you are priced high for your market? Or the picture might not do it justice?

That's not necessarily "high" hours, especially given FWC. Is it v-drive or out drive? How is it priced? How are you marketing it?

As long as you have it priced right, boats are selling like hotcakes right now. I looked on Boattrader and Yachtworld and only saw one '01 310DA in NY on Boattrader - none on YW. The one on BT was not your boat as it had 800 hours - and it was priced at a crazy $61K - way too much. But the point is, where are you advertising it?

My brother's starting to look at boats like yours - where is the ad that I can point him to?

Boats that are well marketed and priced right are certainly selling this year. Are you selling this by owner or through a broker? I have heard of many stories over the past few years were the broker was not working the boat on behalf of the owner. I am not saying all brokers are bad - in fact there are many good ones that make the process easy for the owner.

I’ll point out that last year we traded a Low hours 280 with single 496, well cared for with newish canvas, Custom teak tables, upgraded Smartcraft gauges, new carpets, new manifolds and new water pump for 35k. So the guy looking for 65 on a 01 310 is dreaming.

Price and condition backed up by good records is what sells boats.

Advertised on Craigs List for $45,000. Had a few people look at the boat. One low offer.
Not knowing how it's outfitted, that seems like a fairish price. Maybe try boat trader? I think craigslist has too many scammers both buying and selling.

Freshwater cooled is different than a freshwater boat. Right?
Has this boat been in saltwater?
Steering pins would be the first thing to look at for a buyer of an older boat.

Looks like a nice boat.

what was the lowball price?

Last summer My friend went to buy a similar fresh water boat, offered $38k, had 6.2's but with bravos. the previous owner had drive swapped because they run aground (2 owners ago), also some hull repair, but still looked good, couldn't see the repair....

I like that it has V-Drives

seller looked at my buddy like he was crazy, wanted $50k
