I assume that a trumpet horn would require a compressor to work? Does anyone know how to access the trumpet horns enclosed in the bow?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Trumpet Horns." The long trumpet shaped horns can be electric or air and single or multiple, usually 2 and sometimes 3. My '89 340 has dual air horns and they are LOUD. And they are compressor driven. There is a small compressor and tank mounted under my helm seat. It is controlled by the trim tab master switch. Activating the tab power also starts the compressor which runs until the tank is charged. At that point I can make babies cry.:smt089

I don't think electric horns are quite as loud but I could be wrong. And I think the horns that are behind a cover on the newer boats are more like car horns. But like I said, I could be wrong.

I love my horns.

Hello,

The 360DA has a electric dual horn in the bow, so no compressor.

They are very easy accessible through the anchor hatch.
They are behind a removable plastic cover.
The horns looks like this kit, only white.

The original indeed sound like a middle class car, and they are damaged very easy, because the water can reach them very easy through the cover.

Thank you for your replies! I defenitely want to change them to the air horns.
