Hey all,

I've done a search through the forums on this and not found anything, so I'm asking here:

My Electric Flush system pops its circuit breaker located next to the flush button every time I push the "flush button".
This just started yesterday; it has worked fine up until then.
When I reset the breaker, pushing the flush button trips the breaker again.

I'm not sure how to eliminate possible problem sources.

I know there's a pump that draws raw water to flush, so maybe there's a short in it. How would I determine that the pump is working fine?
I should mention that I ran it several times a couple weeks ago when the boat was on the trailer- I was trying add water to the holding tank by pouring a bucket of water into the toilet. Is this a recommended practice, or am I causing a problem doing that?

I checked the 'Head System' breaker on the console, this remains in even when the other breaker pops out.
Also, when I turn the key to the 'Macerator' position, the power indicator comes on, so I know there is power supplied to that switch.
Pushing the flush button is what causes the breaker to pop, whether the Macerator switch is on or off.

Are there any other potential failure points, other than just a short in the wiring somewhere?
How could I remove the flush button to examine it for shorting conditions?

Any insights on where the most common failure points in this system would be most appreciated!

Those circuit breakers go bad. I have switched the circuit breaker out for another one to test it. Just find one of the same rating and swap!

Thanks, I will check that out when I get a chance to get over to the storage yard.
