I have a 1992 SR 270 Sundancer, and use trim tabs all the time for adjusting to compensate for wind, people moving about and general conditions. With Twin motors and drive trim and trim tabs it can occasionally get quite busy having to tweak this or that depending on what is going on at the time.
So I was shown this gadget by a friend of mine who fitted it to his Sea Ray and said it made a whole lot of difference.
This is the piece of equipment

So I took the plunge and bought one....fits very simply where the old trim tan switch was and connects to the same wires. What a difference.....once its calibrated and set the boat gets on the plane easier, settles to the attitude I chose during calibration and automatically adjusts if anything causes the boat to pitch or roll away from that setting. In a turn it disengages untill it knows you are straight again, and automatically kicks back in again. It has made driving the boat, which, with twin, close together engines and drives and only a 9 foot beam, can be a challenge to keep straight and level, into a joy to drive all the time.

Highly recommended.....take a look at the website

I was waiting for the Bennett auto trim pro to come out but looks like it got delayed until next year. So bought the Mente Marine instead - which also look easier to install.
