Hello all. My mechanic is in the process of doing major work on my drive as a result of a broken gimbal ring we discovered he is buttoning things up and the new gimbal ring has four screw holes that don't match up with the two holes for the trim Sanders. He did a quick bit of research as have I but we're not coming up with anything. Has anyone encountered this before?

Boat is a 99 260DA with bravo 3. The gimbal ring was bought as a new take off from someone local. Old ring is top pic, new ring below it

First off, the drive make / model / year goes a long way to identifying the problem.
You are right, I accidentally hit send and then got distracted when .y little one came home. Revising original post and adding pics now

So far what we seem to be able to find is that this gimbal ring is apparently a Bravo HP Gimbal ring which is a good thing, it's a stouter piece of equipment but mixed info as to whether or not trim senders can be used with it. Some places show that no trim senders on a bravo hp transom assembly becasue of the larger sizes dont allow clearance but other places show part numbers for bravo hp with and without trim senders. Hoping maybe a mechanic here has some knowledge. not sure if sea ray owners are souping their boats up enough to need the hp transoms but i can imagine some bowrider guys going crazy with adding horsepower lol

In 2021 you can usually find anything on the internet. This was a real stumper. Almost no info on the internet about this. Apparently whatever trim sender unit there is for the HP gimbal ring it's just a single side unit and you only get trim not the trailer feature. That is fine with me because I. Used to an outboard which works the same way. Ultimately my mechanic and I decide to drill and tap threads and use my regular senders. We couldnt find any info to indicate this was a terrible idea.
