I had the motor replaced on my 05 270 Amberjack last year, now my trim fluid has leaked into my bilge. I looked at the lines coming from the trim pump and they are dry. I traced the lines in the bilge and cant see behind the motor. I do not see any oil in the water.

My question is, when the motor was changed are those lines disconnected from the transom.

Any input would be appreciated.

Generally speaking ,no. If the oil is getting onto the bilge and your positive the res is intact then its a line issue at the transom end. If your res is plastic, there was a cracking issue where the bottom bolt goes in. res can be replaced in the water.
You will need to be lifted to make the repair. Remove the junction block by removing 2 nuts, pull housing down, replace the hyd lines.

Thanks for the reply.

Does the engine have to come out? Or can it be repaired with the motor in place.
