Hi All,
I’ve just become the (very) proud owner of a 2018 Sea Ray 210SPX OB that I am using in the South East corner of Spain, early days of ownership but today I have found that the transom shower is not working and can’t work out whether there is a separate switch to turn the pump motor on or whether it is permanently live and works off another method.

The shower head seems to be clear and I have unscrewed it to check the hoses and still no flow of water. There are no toggle switches at the helm to turn a shower pump on so I am concluding that the pump is either faulty or not getting power.

If anyone has any insight into this or solved a problem similar I would be grateful for any insight before I go and buy another replacement. Thank you for taking the time to read and any help.

Interesting, I just looked through the manual and it does not show a transom shower as an option. It does show a livewell with the switch to operate it labelled as ACCY on the dash. Here is a link to the manual. https://owners-resources.searayweb.com/owners-manuals-files/2018_SPX_210_OB_OWNERS_MANUAL.pdf

You would need to have a water pump that is turned on and off via a switch to have water pressure at the shower head. I would look in your bilge and see if you have a water pump either connected to a through hull fitting or a water tank.

It's possible that because (assuming) it's a European model that it may have different options.

Over here in the States, the standard icon for a pressure water system (shower) is a box with a squiggly line through it. Do you have that?

You could take a look through your owner's manual, too - see what's written in there about it. There is a section about icons, too.

Thanks for replies and yes it’s a European model so differs slightly. The accessory toggle is just a blank on the dash so I’m assuming the shower is possibly permanently primed.

Going to play about when I can and see what I find. Boat also has the drinks fridge with chiller mounted to starboard under the rear sunpad. Never seen it there before

It's also possible that the previous owner added the transom shower and there is another switch for it somewhere. This is much more likely. It would NOT make sense to have the pump on ALL the time... if the tank was empty, the pump would just keep running and running and running.

Follow the plumbing away from the shower fixture. The pump shouldn't be hard to find.

From there, the pump wiring will lead to the switch and power source.

This is how mine is setup. Yours may or may not be similar.

My 220 has the transom and sink shower / faucets. The tank is in port side by the transom and the pump is next to the tank. The dash switch for the pump (and symbol used) is in the picture.

The breaker is right above it.

The pump will def have an on off switch or breaker or something to shut turn the pump on/off. There is no permanent prime. The electric pump needs power.

If you do not find the switch as shown in the previous posts. Find the fresh water storage tank, follow the tubing out of it, usually a pump is right next to it. Follow those wires to the switch
