Did you use 1 2x8 across the top or 2. Did you leave all your lumber at 16'?

Sorry for the delayed response.

I used (2) 2x8's for the top beam bolted together with a staggered pattern.
Yes I did use the full 16 feet so I would have enough length when I turned the frame. You can see the same frame was used for covering during the winter, spread the 2x8's apart (end to end) and tied them together with a third 10 foot 2x8.
