does anyone know of someone near the upper chesapeake that can do a quality transom rebuild on a 87 250 sundancer, or should i just part out the boat and take the loss
If u have basic wood working skills you can accomplish this yourself. I redid the transom, stringers, bulkheads and foam on my 86 268 weekender. It took me most of the winter. Cost around 1800 bucks just in supplies alone. Below is a link to my photo album of the work that was envolved. I was quoted 4500 to 5500 by 2 shops. and around 2 months to complete.
