    Gentlemen.
The next product I have been working on are grill side tables for your transom. These could go elsewhere, but I know the need for many is on the transom.
As many of you have seen, a few years ago I started the trend of mounting my grill under the transom swim ladder cover.

The trouble I have is there was no place to put any condiments, cooking utensils, place to put my beer, etc. So I believe this table below will be great for me and know that several of you will want one.

Made of highly weather resistant ipe. @24" x 11".

Still allows you to open the transom locker door, but I recommend you remove anything on it before :).

This will really make it nice for grilling on the transom of your boat. They are made of Ipe. Ipe is also known as ironwood and this will be coated with Penofin rosewood oil. I don't plan to use mine as a cutting board, but if you specify that you'd like to use it that way, I'll coat it with mineral oil instead. The unit shown has the square corners, but I will offer the end caps radiused as well.

24" x 11". $175+ shipping and tax. Includes high quality stainless bimini mounting hardware. $150 + shipping and tax through March.

Email info@vikingbay.co to order. Specify radiused end caps or square. If special dimensions are needed, just let me know.
Other accessories to come to add on these are drink holders and storage bags.

    Thanks again for looking.

Very nice. Maybe in the future for me. I am currently having a nautical compass rose inlaid into my cockpit table and the whole thing sealed.

Nice work Todd, do you have pics of your cockpit table?? I might be interested in a combo deal as the 280 table is quite the joke. Thanks

Yes I do. This one I made out of mahogany my Granfather saved way back in the 40's. After he passed I got it and made my cockpit table and a desk for my Dad out of it.

then had a local friend who does dash panels and laser work laser our Boat name into it
    [IMG]
Then put a clear coat(catalyzed bar pour) over it. It's held up really well and works much better than the frisbee that was there.

Uv rays gonna turn your table yellow unless you have something protecting against it.

Already thought of that. My good friend is a painter and he assisted me with this on mine. SystemThree WR-LPU is very tough and not just your normal polyurethane coating.

Isn't just easier having your wife hold the condiments and beer on a tray on the transom until you are done with them and her......kidding.....Great job! I love the fit and finish on the cockpit table......Very creative in your work...

I may want to discuss with you a salon table....

I like the transom table but don't want more holes in the fiberglass. I have patched enough already! May a couple of adjustable angled legs that have rubber feet to rest against the transom locker door?

I was thinking the samething if the legs were pinned at the hinge ..or maybe suction cups would work against the transom if you were worried about the table lifting up

Yes there are several ways I debated how to mount t. The way I showed certainly works well, but I can understand if you prefer an alternative method. I can make J bends and a fixed base too.

    Todd,
Have you looked into a heavy duty quick clamp for the railing vs. mounting hardware? Unless the table weighs too much?

I wanted it to be stable if you place a platter or tray of meat, chicken, fish, etc. on it. It's not about the weight of the table so much, as what you'll put on it. With the method I selected, this isn't an issue. I understand anyone not wanting to drill more holes, but I'll take some pictures of my transom with this setup without the table and you'll see it doesn't stand out. I have base installed on the transom locker door with stainless steel fender washers and stainless locknuts. It really is a clean install.

Ken, give me some dimensions (info@vikingbay.co) of what you are thinking for a cockpit table and I'll shoot you back a bid.
    Thanks for looking.
