Planning a weekend trip to fire island. Looking for a marina that is kid friendly with power. Any insight would be appreciated.

We like Davis park , short walk to the beach and a restaurant on the beach. Get a slip as far in land as it get a little bouncy sometimes at night
Some marinas have residency restrictions, we also liked Seaview gated marina but expensive. 2 min walk to ocean beach heart of FI.

You gotta get fuel on the north side... No fuel docks on Fire Island....

Seaview is your best bet as you can make a reservation, but I agree it's expensive....

I like kismet too! Just no power... Go to the Out.... It's a good time...

Watch hill is a great place for kids. The issue you will have is getting in. They have roughly 20 slips (with electric) that will fit your boat, and fill up fast on the weekends. What you need to consider is the reservation process. They dont take advanced reservations, only day of (call 1st thing in the morning). Typically big boats get in during the week to stay through the weekend. WH also has 'Transient' slips without water and electric that typically remain open during slow weekends. For obvious reasons, not good for an overnight stay.

Davis is one marina west, and has more slips to fit your boat. The marina is not as protected from the bay, plan on rocking and rolling the night away. Playground for the kids, general store, and restaurant. Davis and Watch Hill are connected by a path that you can walk, roughly 1 mile.

Diesel is back on mainland just across the bay. If you are coming in FI inlet, you may find fuel at Captree . I vaguely remember a fuel dock at the boat ramp, but I haven't been in that area in years. Call ahead.
