They are not very strong and flex a lot without a house built on them. You may have quite a bit of welding to do to make it work. We use them to place our dock slips on and had to build tops to strengthen them, Mike.

Ya I expect to add metal. Our marina had 3 sitting in yard already built. After last flood and new harbor master they went to scrap. Day late 
I built my own trailer. I found the hull info in my owners manual.
