Hi

I live in tampa and trailer my 185 sport.

I'm looking for interesting weekend trips where I can trailer, stay over night and enjoy new scenery and time on the water... Ideally where my boat is in a slip or lift right near me :)

Low-Med budget (definitely not expensive)

Here are a couple I've found but haven't tried:

Tortuga Inn Beach Resort.

A bit expensive for me, but nice place, great location and you can get a room within eyesight of a slip.

Bradenton Marina

This looks cool.. you and your boat get to sleep right near each other....
I hear prices can be as low as $100/night.

I haven't tried any of these....
Any suggestions (within a few hours of tampa) other than these two?

Thanks
Jeff

Jeff,

We own a timeshare almost right next door to Tortuga (just north) in Smuggler's Cove. As an owner they let us keep a rental boat at the dock, and there had been one there before us as well. They rent by the night in both Smuggler's and it's connected resort Gulfstream, and it might be worth checking into whether you could keep a boat there as a renter as well.

Here's the link to the website:

There are also many houses for rent with docks on Anna Maria, I'm just not sure of their availability for less than a week.
