We're on the fifth year (I think?) for our trailer tires. I've usually gone 5 - 7 years before replacing. They are in excellent shape, no cracking, no leaks, lots of tread of course and seem to be holding up very well. The last set bulged, but they were looking kind of sad anyway at the 5 year mark. Are there any other indicators that I should look for or is it just a general rule to replace them at 5 - 7 years regardless of condition? I had a pair on an old EZ loader that lasted for 13 years, but they were in sad shape. Still, it was a light boat with super heavy duty tires too. This boat is a lot heavier and I'm sure it's tougher on tires too.

What's the consensus?

As long as they look good, no weather checking, buldges, good tread, I would not worry about them. If your trailer is inside that will extend the life a lot. The sun sucks the life out of tires.
