I'm thinking about getting a trailer for my 240DA so I can take the boat to explore new area. I don't have a vehicle that can tow the boat yet. Do you all have any recommendations on what type of trailer should I get? Aluminium? double axles?? I spent the last couple days reading many posts in this forum but I still don't know where I should start. What brand consider as a good value brand?
Should I buy used or new? And what are the things to look for?

I will be boating in blackish water most of the time.

And any recommendation on a 7/8 passenger tow vehicles for my boat??

Sorry for all the newbie questions. :smt100

Welcome aboard. You will want a tandem minimum to tow that boat. A heavy 2500 van or older Excursion might be a good tow choice for the passenger load and boat/trailer combo. Check all weights and ratings for all units. MM

X2 on needing a tandem axle trailer. I used a 2008 Yacht Club Bunk trailer on my 2000 240 DA. It worked just fine for it. I would look for a used, but they can be hard to find.

Also agree to get a 3/4 ton tow vehicle. An Excursion or Suburban would probably be your two best bets for 7/8 passenger tow vehicles. Just make sure to check tow capacities of any vehicle you look at.

LoadMaster makes real nice trailers in OH. Here's mine with the 270, Mike.

I love a roller trailer as it allows easy launching and easier retrieve even on steep or difficult ramps. Galvanized for me, no painting, Aluminum would also be a great choice. Definitely tandem with brakes on both axles. Check Camp Marine in Point Pleasant New Jersey. He is a Load Rite/5 Starr Dealer. I got the best price anywher from him. I drove 200 miles to pick up the trailr, and they were very helpful, and will answer your questions and offer suggestions even if you just call with questions.
