Greetings
When pulling my 1981 454 Mercruiser engine and transmission the lifting chain caught one of two brass fittings on the shifter control valve. The transmission is a Merctrans II. I couldn't find the part(s) that broke off. The remaining piece looks like a typical .25" female brass fitting excepthat it had a small compression spring inside. I am presuming it had a ball in the missing portion. I think it was some sort of check valve in the transmission line.
I need to replace this part, can anyone tell me what it is?
