i'd like to know when you guys tow your boat with the canvas on do you take the support poles out or leave them in.my concern is the added pressure on certain points. tell me what you think. thanks.

I've towed mine 1000s of miles with the covers on. Make sure they are tight and check often. I extend the 1st pole on my cockpit cover to keep it tight and ridged.

Like Chuck said, keep everything tight. The key to long canvas life is tightness. So, yes, put the pole(s) in nice and tight.

Have you ever seen someone on the highway with stuff in a trailer (or on their roof top) with a big blue tarp that isn't tied down well? If you have, it's easy to see why you want your cover tight.
