Tow Vehicle Decisions-Help

So does anybody think waiting a couple of months to purchase a used truck might result in a more than usual price drop versus purchasing now, due to the gas prices skyrocketing? I'm ready to buy used (diesel), but wondering how these gas prices are going to effect the prices of used trucks in the short term? Are people going to start offloading them again for better gas mileage vehicles? Or have people never re-started buying them after the Katrina gas hike, to amount to any surplus now?
