this jerk had a lot of choices, go thru scanner, get patted down, take other transportation , walk. I cannot understand why people blame gov. for the scanners, pat downs, etc. The gov. dosen't own the airlines you want to fly follow the rules or walk. Don't give us this crap about your rights being taken away by the gov. There are rules to follow in all parts of life i suppose if the coast guard gave you a ticket for not having a life jacket for everyone on board then your civil rights are damaged???. please like mistercomputermans post said man up and quit whining. PS I never thought that there would be so many racists, profilers on a rather intelligent forum. my 2cents

From your response, its really obvious that you really haven't read all of the posts in this thread or you're just not bright enough to comprehend what you did read. You're right about one thing....I don't like the president. I didn't vote for him and I don't feel the man has any grasp of the reality of our nation. BUT, I do like the idea of a president. But as history has proven many times over the past couple of hundred years, our political leaders ain't perfect. If you think the prez is making the decisions for TSA, why would he hire someone to run that organization. You really have no idea how our government operates, do you?

How many times have you flown on a commercial flight in the past 5 years? Share that with us.

You do not know me and have no right to tell me what my thoughts or feelings are about the events of September 11th. But I will tell you this; in all of those airliners that caused all of the damage that day, not one of the participants was a blue-haired gramma from Miami, a 4-year old girl on her way to her first visit to Disneyland or my wife or daughter. It was a group of misguided, religious fanatics of several different middle eastern cults who didn't deserve to die with all of the brave Americans that perished that day. They deserved to be rotting in hell for what they did. And based on the ethnicity of those terriost that perpitrated those acts, and your comments about the events of that day, how could you, as an American, be against racial profiling?

Based on the events of September 11th, Americans have earned the right to racially profile.

Since your 2 posts have indicated that you are really clueless about politics, civil rights or anything that is actually going on outside your little world, you better just stick to writing about flotation devices and battery chargers. For the record, I watched the events of September 11th on TV almost from the very beginning from my home at the time in Las Vegas. And I watched horrified wondering what my many friends that live in the city must have been experiencing that day. I had dinner with one of them last night in Queens and we talked about that day and the friends he lost. So don't ever presume to know what I am feeling or thinking about my country.

Dude are you serious?? I live a hell of alot closer than you do to Ground Zero, about 50 minutes by car. WTF are you talking about?? I lost friends and neighbors that day and it still weighs heavy on my mind every single time I see that sky line. I did not see anything aimed at Obama other than a suggestion that he experience the same standards put upon all of us citizens. I believe GW even had to as he conducted his recent book tour. This is about watching a bunch of retards fondle our loved ones. I really don't give a crap if I get a little feel up but I will boil watching it happen to my family. The total absudity of this is that the efficacy of this molestation has not even been proven to deter the Islamic jihadists on ANY LEVEL!!! About 5 years ago, my family and myself were flying somewhere... don't remember where... probably Memphis to visit the inlaws. Anyway, after going through the metal detector, they made my 6-year old son (at the time... now he's 11) go to the "special area" for a more thorough search. They literally took his hand and pulled him away and he started crying wanting his mom... My wife tried to follow and they stopped her and would not let her go with him... It caused a big scene and was very traumatic... They don't fly anymore...

The only way to fix this problem is to profile people. Beating up 6-year olds doesn't work.

I fly about half a million miles every year. I am a big guy and I travel with a bag full of expensive / high-tech gadgets and a cpap. Nobody has been assaulted by TSA more or worse than me, its the price of doing business.

This entire made up controversy is nothing but political gamesmanship. If the person in the whitehouse had an R behind their name this thread would be labeled "unpatriotic" by all the people raising hell in it now.

I personally oppose the "rules" because (1) I am not for invasion of privacy, (2) Especially when it doesn't work.

So should the rules be skewed to look closer at this segment? Probably. But they aren't stupid people. And will quickly adjust their styles to accomodate. And then the lines get very blurry, very quickly.

The solution to the problem is probably outside of the airport (as in, resolving the underlying issue that is causing the problem). But that one isn't any easier either...
