Fortunately I have twins and made it back to dock without a tow! After a couple of hours of successful cruising yesterday, I move the throttles from idle to power up, and just before achieving plane, the port motor quit completely. The smart craft screen for that side went dark and the analog dial gauges are stuck in normal cruise configuration. That appears to prevent any re start. After shutting the starboard side down, the center screen says engine com lost. wow tell me something I didn't know!

Im hoping there's a fuse somewhere that I blew and not the module or some catastrophic shut down sensor. Everything was normal or so it seemed. I had idled quite a while before powering up however. BTW batteries off and a reboot attempt failed. Gauges act like the engine is running even when all power is shut off. Of course no diagnostics coming through as that side screen is dark. Power beep is fine just nada when attempting re start.

any ideas?

Yes nothing. I not sure whether I did it with power on or off. The abrupt shut down as I powered up is weird. No one at marina had ever seen gauges saying it was on when it was not. Why they didn't fall to zero as with normal electronic shut down is odd.

Someone said there was An in line fuse for the module somewhere in the engine room.

that might be worth a try if I could find it.

So the engine cranks but doesn't start ? Did you look over your harness plugs ? You may be able to get a read with the scanner.

Motor will not start. Tone sounds, it has plenty of voltage, but without smartcraft window nothing is happening. No test cycle running. When I figure out how to attach a pic I will.

The port side froze in the condition when it shut down. Stays that way with or without power and with starboard running or not. Console is shown with no battery on.

Do you hear your fuel pump prime? What test cycle ? Did you wiggle/push/pull on your connections ? Did you try advancing your throttle while its cranking ? Have you checked for spark ? Do you have fuel pressure at rail with key on ?
