Akbassking, I agree with you. The libs are definately imploding. If you look at it, they have been imploding for awhile now.

I saw this coming as soon as I read the details of the deal. Of course, the democrats are opposing this deal for all the wrong reasons, but opposition was inevitable.

What happened to the Tea Party? They are the real losers of the week. We just watched Republicans throw fiscal discipline under the bus for a shiny toy. I would have thought their rhetoric would have lasted at least until the holidays.
 
Oh right. . . .yeah, with the new members (and the same caucus leadership?) it should be interesting when the debt limit legislation comes up. Wonder how much pork they will be cutting (since they said they are not going after social security, medicare, or defense)?
 
What I thought was hilarious was how Obama departed stage left and left Bill Clinton behind the presidential podium this afternoon. Love the implicit message: this whole tax cut thing isn't important enough to hang around and talk about, I have to go get dressed for a party. And you know Bubba loved gripping that podium once again!

The Democrats have come totally unhinged. Now, there are three presidents supporting the tax cuts (Obama, Bush and Clinton). Usually the Democrats form the proverbial circular firing squad, but this week, it's not even that organized. They're just firing at anything that moves. Amazing, just amazing....

I have no problem with having money, even lots of money.

What I have a problem with is when I have to subsidize their tax burden. This billionaire bailout aka- bush tax cut for those making over a million & the estate tax that affects only the top 1/4 of 1% is what pisses me off.

Why people in this country are so stupid I'll never understand. Piss and moan about your taxes being too high and the federal deficit being too high but your all for a tax holiday for the wealthiest in the land. A tax holiday that will balloon the deficit worse than both wars and the bailout for wall street. Why in the hell do you think its OK for them to pay less taxes than you and I?

Sorry but that's just stupid, I can see some sense in your arguments about cutting entitlements and waste but at least be consistent. If you want the top 1% to get all the breaks stop whining when your taxes go up and your services get cut.

Look at the facts, not the Fox (faux) facts but the actual facts. Or maybe just use some common sense and look around. The wealthy are doing spectacularly well while the middle class is disappearing, why do you suppose that is happening? If all your conservative BS was correct wouldn't the wealthy be hurting just as bad as the middle class?

Its pretty obvious if you conservatives would look outside your Fox bubble that we (the working folks in America) have been scammed into paying the wealthiest folks portion of the tax burden. And I'm including myself and anyone making under a million a year..... we are getting hosed.

I don't begrudge anyone's wealth. I just think that fair is fair no matter if your a cook at McDonalds or Bill Gates you should pay your fair share of taxes.

What is your definition of fair share, doesn't Bill Gate pay more in taxes than a cook at McDonalds already?

It seems the liberal definition of rich is anyone making more than me.

That is exactly the kind of simplistic jab that I would expect from someone who is afraid to look at the facts, for fear they would find themselves a fool.
 
Then show your analysis on how the top 2% (or 1%) are paying less taxes than you... I am very curious.

I had my mother call me and tell me she is sick and tired of paying more taxes than the "rich." She pays no taxes... I told her that... she hasn't filed a return in years because she doesn't make enough. So you must be watching the same channel she is.
