Too much salt in the oil

:smt013 I have a 1988 305 with the starboard engine seized. I have 1800 hrs. on both and I'm thinking of replacing both. The problem! RH rotation motors are a thing of the past and I have straight shaft Velvet drives. I don't want to change out the transmissions if I don't have to. Help!

A friend just repowered with http://www.1800runsnew.com/NLM/powerpack-NLM.html and one motor spins the other way.
You have to go with Crusader to spin the other way.
He reused his old vee-drive and trans. with great results.

are you close to a 1.91 or 2.10 or 1.88? at times these transmssions are mixed for this purpose, ratio's are so close you barely notice the difference and the difference is the input spins the same as output in forward and on the other the input spins opposite as output...can you clarify your ratios? because transmissions can be found cheaply. you can call me to clarify and i can help you out, do this quite often in the same situation eric 330-273-8291

I have a 1.52:1 ratio However I just spoke to Velvet Drive and was told it can be revirsed with no problem. So I can buy new LH motors and just change the setting in RH transmission to run backwards. Thanks for your input.
