I thought about putting this in the holding tank:lol::lol:

I bought some more TP for the boat tonight. I usually buy at one off the -Mart's. I usually buy a single ply( Thetford), thinking it will breakdown easier. Tonight, there seemed to be more selection of 2 ply TP. What brand do you use? And do you use single ply or 2 ply?

There is special marine TP that breaks down in the holding tank better. After all, even wiping your @$$ on a boat costs more...

Thanks...that is what I buy..is a marine/RV TP. Just wondering is others buy the single or 2 ply. What do you use?

I've always used the Costco brand 2 ply with no problems- ever.

When I pump out, I usually do 2-3 refills with water and then pumpout again.

And my tank level guage still works, too.

Got a Jabsco Quietflush on my boat.

Two ply here. No problems that I can directly relate to it. Regular single ply is thin enough let alone marine single ply. I don't know about you guys but I don't ever wanna have a "poke through"................

OK, this thread was at least "bearable" to read... until Skuza said "poke through"! :smt101:lol:

I get my 2ply TP from a Porta John owner. It breaks down real quick in the tank at 85 cents a roll. :smt038

We always get the single ply at home due to a lifetime of septic systems. Replacing one system at $35k was enough for me.

Same if I had a head on the boat...single ply, and one that states specifically "septic safe."

Thats what the water all around the boat is for...one, large bidet.

You are NOT supposed to wipe forward, boys. :smt100

This thread is hilarious. On a serious note, is the TP one can purchase form a marine store "special" at all, or just single ply? Sure is expense from West Marine around here. I try to have a 'no-pooping' rule on our boat. LOL.

It's all the same crap.

KFC has no TP in the bathrooms... It's Finger Lickin Good

This thread could end up in the holding tank rather quickly. I have always purchased a single ply in the RV/Marine section at Wal-Mart. But last week, they seemed to have a bigger selection of 2 ply RV/Marine toilet paper.....that is why I wondered what others used.

The way I figure it, it doesn't really matter.....If I give my girls the ultra-thin single ply, they would just peel twice as much off the roll.
