Toilet Paper Recommendations

Toilet paper is not your big problem when it comes to the head in a boat. My dock mate had to have his head redone two times in one summer the duck bills were clogged. It was from female guests and it was not toilet paper to put it delicately. This is a biggger problem to look out for.

Whatever we find on sale for home, we use on the boat. We just minimize usage on the boat. Need more wipes? Flush more often!

Rick,

You're getting off-topic......focus now, focus!

Anybody ever use the cheep stuff. Aka peekaboo paper. Lemme explain ..you go to wipe and peekaboo your finger breaks threw the paper and now you have a tootsie roll.. =-O

I will post an excel spreadsheet of my findings so that we can evaluate all of the aspects of the product, including its benefits and shortcomings, as in the case of peekaboo paper.

I once read on these esteemed pages the following and adopted it as the rule. "If You Didn't Eat It, Don't Flush It." I further tell guests that if they plug it, they can assist clearing it, and have had NO resistance nor plugs to deal with. ( I also tell them if I find a tampon I will show it to EVERYONE)

As for paper, Northern Quilted is quite comfortable and strong, Costco Kirkland brand is a close second. I would worry about both in a low water system like Vacuflush.

It had better be a single-ply spreadsheet.

This is for those of you (and you know who you are!!) who won't let their guests do their doo doo in their head. Post this instruction sheet in your head and you won't have any future worries about clogged heads.

Just don't let any of your guests serve you food and don't shake their hand as they get off your boat.

Laugh if you will about not putting non-digested material in the head but I cannot imagine Vacuflush is designed to process heavy household paper.

I have two heads on our boat and I give explicit instructions about use and have not had a problem in 10 years of vacuflush heads... I have a few boating friends who don't use their shower on board, they'd rather go to the shower on shore and I do not understand it. To each his own...
