Hold on John, this is going to be more fun to watch than a naked raft up at Fairlee!

Is it just me or have the ravens boys been awfully quiet the past couple of weeks?

Been busy, tough being a Ravens fan, with all the playoff parties, sendoff party, Super Bowl parties, and now a retirement party! Got to go, there's a parade to go to!

If you think about, Lord knows I have, Lee Evans puts the catch away last year we would have been there then. But that was last year, this year turned out to be our time. The Raven’s and the entire AFC North for that matter play football the old fashion way, bringing it every game. Yea our defense has grown old and lost a step or two, but the bend but don’t break play they showed this season did its job, even though it most likely has added years to the lives of all of us Ravens fans. I need to double up on my blood pressure meds!

Not to mention the offense!! That kid Ray Rice can punish defenders! I always liked him from his Rutgers days and there were rumors the Giants were going to draft him. I wish they had!
In addition, Joe Flacco has really matured into a quiet, cool, top tier quarterback shutting up his critics! Your team is going to have to pay him some big money this off season but, your future looks bright my friend!

Yea I know, but I was not on Flacco’s band wagon during the season. I felt is pocket presence was just terrible and he looked like a deer caught in the headlights all the time. My fellow fans all told me it was the offensive line at fault. Well I had to eat crow and admit they were right. Turns out the offensive line changes made a difference, and Joe got better at getting out of there while keeping his eyes down field. The wizard of Oz (Ozzie Newsome) will have his work cut out for him this off season with the cap issue. Ozzie has a way of finding the talent though!

I was right there with you, Bill. I could dig up my old post where I said the same about Flacco and said the defense was too old to win, but I will save myself the embarassment. But they proved me wrong and that is great. Although I am still waiting for Flacco to produce a meaningful game sealing drive or come from behind winning drive in the 4th quarter. He still didn't do that last night, but he's getting closer - he got them to 2nd and goal at the one at 31-29 where a TD would have sealed it. I guess I should give him credit for the miracle pass play against Denver.

Hope you and XRavenX enjoyed the playoffs immensely. It was a fun ride where everything just fell into place and the right plays were made at the right time for the last 3 games.

Congrats Ravens fans, let's do it again next year. I guess I have to settle for having World Series Champion SF Giants and our Niners make it a game after a horrible start in the Superbowl. Go Sharks (and Warriors?).

Humph,

Sorry bro, but not in my house!! LOL I'm hoping my Giants have something to say about a championship next season.
Congrats to you and your fellow fans on a really good season.

Sorry to say but I believe the G-Men will suffer mediocrity for another year. Have I mentioned that I have an axe to grind with them? No matter how they are playing at the time, they have the 49ers number.

Yes they did make it a game, after the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half kick off I thought it was going to be a rout. But give them credit for making a super come back and turning it into the one of the most exciting Super Bowls of all time. Not that I wanted it that way!

As for next year, I hate to say it but I think you all will have a better chance at being in the show then us. I am afraid at what the off season will bring, with the salary cap issue and all. I hope we don’t get busted up to bad. I hope the same for your quarterback next season…. I not a big fan of turning the quarterback loss to run, not in the NFL anyway. The quarterback is much too valuable to the team to have him out there running and taking the chance at injury…. Just look at Washington as an example.

I took the day off from work today, so we are going to the Stadium for the parade! It was tough for Baltimore when we lost the Colts, but this city belongs to the Ravens now!

Good luck next season!

Last season, against Pittsburg, I believe it was a Sunday night game. Down by four with less than two minutes to play. We drove the length of the field, 92 yards and Tory Smith made the diving touchdown catch with just seconds to play. It took all the air out of Pittsburg stadium, which is always a fun thing to do by the way!

The Ravens are in a salary cap mess. They are 5 million over it now, and Flacco, Reed, Ellerbe, Kruger, Carry Williams and a bunch of others are free agents. I'm not a Flacco fan, he is a Fantasy Football Team Killer and has been for several years. That said, the Ravens will probably keep him and have to pay him in the neighborhood of 20 Million a season. If they do that it would be tough to sign any of the other premier free agents. Though I expect to see them make Ellerbe a priority.

I would love to see Kruger join the Bengals.

As far as the Superbowl in NY goes, I love it! God intended for football to be played in the elements. A driving snowstorm would be awesome. The half-time show would be amusing to watch too.

To quote Jack & Jackie Harbough - "Who's got it better then us------NOOOOOOOOBODY"

Just got back from New Orleans and I must say they are they nicest people you would ever want to meet. Everyone that we encountered was pulling for the Ravens, perfect place to host the Super Bowl. Me and Kreole Kid exchanged some texts but couldn't manage to hook up, he even invited us out on his boat. An organized march of 1000s of Ravens fans to the stadium (17 blocks away) forced police to close the streets. Seemed like the 49er fans were outnumbered about 3:1.

As far as the game itself, the Ravens were playing "lights out" until, well, until the lights went out, that killed the Ravens momentum, things could have been very different. The refs let them play and there were some calls that maybe in a regular season game would have been called, on both teams.

Hopefully the performance Flacco had thru the playoffs will silence his critics, I won't bore you with his stats. Yes, he will get paid and hopefully the Ravens front office can weave their magic to make everything work out.

Vegas had the Ravens as underdogs against Denver, New England and San Fransisco, most of the experts in the media had them losing those games as well as most here on CSR, not many gave the Ravens a chance - what a post season, wonder how much their leader had to do with that. Training camp starts in July and then we get to do this all over again, it's going to be a great off season............One of my favorite Van Halen songs is "Top of the World"-------that's where we're at for a little while anyway.

Gotta go, the parade is starting.

Absolutely crazy in Baltimore yesterday as I took the day of work to be part of the 200,000 people for the celebration! M&T was full, actually over flowing is more like it!
Well now that the ride is finished, I guess it’s time to start getting the boat ready! Baltimore Boat Show is a couple weeks away.
