To ease the Cabin Fever.

Nice job BBY!

How the heck do you get in there to tighten the inside motor mount on engine #2 after that first engine is in...????

I now own approximatley $200 of brand new modified tools to do half the work I did on this boat. I'm only 26 and have never beeen in so much pain from tying to get things back together. I feel that I should be a certified contortionist after this project. Getting in to a spot isn't always the problem...trying to frind someone to pull you back out is....my roomates didn't hear my cries for help very often!

I know what you are saying. Yesterday, I was wedged down in the engine room between the motor and the gas tank and under the floor. It was a spooky feeling for a few seconds when I realized I could not get back up and out. After calming down and doing some funky contortions, I finally got out. That was as close to panic as I've ever been.

Keep the pics coming I love seeing all the work wish I could do the same I'm more of the learn as I watch the mechanic's work school-also seeing how the new format is -this my first post since the change-maybe see you at Lake Mead-

So...At this point I'm pretty much tidying up my loose ends, and I will take some final pictures of the outcome. Fired the engines off the other night, everything went great, just need to do some fine tuning and adjust the shift linkages.

I thought I would go ahead and do a break down of everything that was done...and...show the cost...I almost threw up when I totalled the recipts together.:smt089

I added mine up the other day for the transom/stringer rebuild, engine rebuild, arch, microwave, charging system and all other "little" things, it came to right around $12,300.

:smt018 should not have done that.......

And, I still need to add the TV and drop curtain.:smt101

Misery loves company BBY.

LOL, I've been watching your work come along as well, nice job.:smt038 At least we now have the satisfaction of knowing everything is good to go down below!

I had to add it up. I was curious about what the damage had been.I know my bank account has been hemorrhaging for the last few months, and while there are some other upgrades that would be nice, I want to go out and enjoy the boat and hopefully get the "luxury" items done in the next year or two.

Thanks for the support! and I do hope it will good be a good summer..Thanks for the optimisim! @>Great lakes pirate:grin:

Great job, really really impressive! :smt038

Don't feel so bad about the money, I did a similar double take when I added up all the stuff I had done to my boat after the first year of ownership. It was about 6,000 in "little stuff". That's about what I spent on the boat! The good news: It's been trouble free boating for a couple years now because of it!

Again, great job and thanks for posting so many pictures.

I refuse to add up all the costs of my restoration, I have an idea where I'm at, but I'm too far in to stop now. It is a sickness, isnt it !

Yep' Good thing its legal ! Peitro has the same problem. He'll chime in.

Just an update....

I have had a friend over the last few days to tie up the loose ends, finally got the wiring set so we could power up and start testing on board systems...things have been very grimm. :smt089

1. Fired up the water systenm to find I had about 3 fittings not connectred properly...water every where.

2. Plastic mixing valve in the galley faucet cracket....water everywhere.

3. Fired off the genset...main water sealr let go inside the water pump.....water everywhere.

4. I should have listened to you guys when we talked about the water heater...Electrically...its not working, but if the STBD engine is running then I can get some hot water. I wish I had been more patient.

5. Turns out I needed a check valve in line of the stepdown pump for the little shower sump project....water wasn't pumping out, but pumping from one pump to another.

6. My GPS isn't transmitting position data to the VHF

7. One of my speakers on deck for the stereo is blown...dont know how that happened.

Sigh* I could really use some better luck, this is getting annoying!

You did this on purpose didn't ya?! I bet you didn't want to make it look easy so no one else will try to take on this much work! :smt043

Sorry but I thought I would try.

I'm sure you'll get it straightened out.
