Hi all. Currently have a 1963 wooden baybuilt but looking to change things up a bit. Do my boating on the Lower Chesapeake. Looking at Sea Ray 370 and 380. Would love a 390 but unfortunately its out of my price range. Just thought I would say hello. I have actually never ridden on a 370 or 380 but would very much like to if anyone in the Lower Chesapeake area would be willing to give me a test ride I would not turn it down. Would like to know how the boats I am seriously contemplating actually ride. Thanks.

Chada, send me a pm with phone number & email as I have a friend whom is getting ready to put his on the market. I’ll connect the two of you and you can get both a ride and good boat and deal if you move pretty quickly so it doesn’t have additional built in dollars for the handler if you’re interested! It’s in the lower Bay Area

Just thought I would update this thread. I had been doing a ton of research the last year and had, for a number of reasons, decided on a 1998 Sea Ray 370. Mostly because I decided it was the nicest boat in my price range and size. I had been looking at them all over the Country and had figured I would have to buy one and have it shipped to Virginia to find a nice one. Well I posted the first post in this thread on July 12 and that day was contacted by another member whose post to me was second in the thread. Well long story short I ended up buying his friend's boat that was not 200 yards from mine in the same creek. And it was easily the nicest condition and most upgraded one I had looked at for a very fair price. Posting on here really worked out for me.

Glad it worked so well for you as he is now learning his next boat as well and I’m glad I could make it happen. I have to say this is the Forth transaction I’ve been involved with and if everyone does their due diligence it’s a win win for all involved. Who knows the guy in the Slip next to you could have your next Boat just ready for your next move as you just never know.

Hands down when I get ready to move on my 52DB will be broadcasted right here first. On that note anybody looking she probably will hit the sell date of about two years as the upgrades and fine tuning are still taking place. As a slower pace of life is starring me heading a trawler is probably in line with even more time aboard which over the last three years exceeds 250 days a year
