Hi,

I have some damaged screens and leaky seals on my portlight windows. Any good tips of "how to websites" on the best way to do this.

Thanks in advance.

I replaced my screens and seals last season, it was not too bad. First, buy all the parts from the Sea Ray dealer. The design changed. The screens are now independent from the seals; the screens can be removed without changing the seals. Second, remove the old seals and screens. You can use some 3M Adhesive Remover to clean out the seal frame, be sure it is clean or leaks may develop. Next, dry fit the new seal in place so you can see how it fits. When installing the seal permanently, use very little 3M Weather-strip Adhesive around the perimeter of the seal where it meets the frame. Do not use too much adhesive! Next close the window and lock it to set the seal in the frame. Leave it closed for 24 hours. Adjustments to the locks may have to be made later.
