Check out Palm Harbor, its $$$ but nice - in stuart check out pirates cove in the Manatee Pocket or Sunset Bay - Ft Pierce is about as far north as I would go - try Harbortown there......South of PB in Ft lauderdale try the municpals in the new river (las olas is under construction, but may be done by then and is on the ICW) also in the new river is marina bay - our favorite is Bahia Mar but its $$$ Hall of fame is right next door and they are cheaper - Dania Beach Marina and Hollywood Marina are great Municipals too, but are often full.......Keep in mind distance to the airport (and which airport) if you plan on flying back often......I know you obviously have an itinerary already, but I just can't help talking about South Florida.....
When you are in Ft. Myers, let us know!! On the east coast, we love Sailfish Point in Stuart.
