Thinking of a 29 amberjack

I currently have a 27’ and starting to consider the 29’. I love the 2008/2009 with the factory hardtop. i don’t see too many on the water, has anyone heard Of any issues with the hardtop?
also, a couple that have caught my eye have the 5.7L/ 300 hp. Is that plenty of power? My 27’ struggles to get on plane with a full boat or dragging a dinghy to the beach. Very frustrating to say the least. I want to make sure there is more than enough power. I have not come across any yet with bigger engines. Thanks

I own a 2005 290 AJ and love it. I think you mean dual 5.7 (600 hp total). It's plenty of power for me, and mine has V-drives. I/O are more efficient and faster.

I can't speak to the hard top, but it would be great to have one.
