The Turtle goes south

How about a recap.....Marinas stayed at, distances traveled each day, gallons used, etc...

Mike,

I don't know if I missed it, did you have a chance to post this info?

I also, thought it would be very helpfull info if you could give us your opinion on what legs of the trip would be prefered to be done by ICW and which by the ocean (weather permitting).

Also, what kind of coffee did you drink and how many cups per leg. What was the longest period of time you went withour coffee? Did you alternate between regular and decaff? Who drove when you used the head.......

Simple minds want to know.

I burned a total of 850 gallons from Dom's. Running on the inside is great until you get to the lower part of NC. Then it's slow until the Waccamaw. then it's slow again pretty much until GA. But it's still great to see at least once.

Strictly espresso on the boat. I don't pee.

might I suggest...

Mike keeps his genny on all the time and the coffee put stays hot all day long, so most of your questions are self explenatory.

...What was the longest period of time you went withour coffee? ....
The day in the fug.

...Did you alternate between regular and decaff? ...
Only after the waste tank read 3/4 he switched to decaff.

... Who drove when you used the head.......
The pig dog.

Alex....I was told by a very wise member here on CSR that you should always CAPITALIZE South....keeps the midnight visitors away.

Thanks Dom, I'll try not to forget in the future.

I was looking up Fug and apparently there's something called a Fugboat, pictured below. I imagine this is the best type of boat to be out in the fug with...

You posted it in the wrong fuggin thread.

Oh FUG! You're right. Sorry.

Ok, added up (roughly) the miles from Dom's to Charleston SC, I come up with about 1000 miles (give or take 50).

pretty close, I didn't take into account getting lost and back tracking or avoiding crab pots, nor did I take into account that some days I think I traveled up and down more than forward.

That roughly comes out to .85MPG as your AVG. Not too bad considering that you didn't have chance to run at your sweet spot as much as you wanted.

No, that comes out to about 1.18 mpg average.
