The shrink wrap is off, the bottom has been painted, new zincs installed and yesterday the FINAL coats of wax and polish applied. Sandy’s Beach is ready to go. All I can do now is wait on our Marina to tell me I can splash. BTW, I did check, my insurance is covered as well as my “lay-up clause” is from December 1[SUP]st[/SUP] to March 1[SUP]st[/SUP].

Hopefully by the middle of March the boating season will begin.

Bill, I wish I could get our boat out of storage its only 9°F here. :smt021

We have had a very mild winter and no real snow fall at all. Temperatures are ranging from low 40’s to mid 60’s so far in March and I have been able to take advantage of the warn days since my boat is stored right behind my house. I did a lot of work in the last several weeks. Bad thing about the weather is you can catch a cold real quick with the temperature swings…. I got a good one now!

Man I really like the red hull. Hope you get over your cold soon. I hope to join you in a few weeks... have a great 2012...

Bill,

Was that your boat I heard running yesterday.....oh BTW, I think my shrink wrap was off before your's, by at least a half hour.

No John. Dale and I heard that as well. It was someone that had a 270 on the lot by “A” pier. Both Dale and I were wondering how well he was doing with no running water!

PS: You are no weatherman.... 60 degrees on Sunday my ass!

It's only March!.....In like a Lamb means out like a Lion. Hope it stays warm, Mike.

Same with my marina, it is May 1st and with my insurance, I call every year when I go in to start the coverage for on the water. Last year because of flooding I did not get in until the Memorial day. Then pulled out early so I was only in the water for 5 months. This year as soon as the docks are ready I am in. I do not think flooding is not going to be an issue since we have had very little snow and no real rain. Even Vermont where the spring floods come from they have not had a lot of snow the the river should not raise a lot.

Ouch…. I think the boating season is short enough without taking away two more months. I always check my insurance declaration page to be sure and my layup period is from December 1[SUP]st[/SUP] to March 1[SUP]st[/SUP] so at this point as soon as the marina tells me it is OK, I am in the water.

I have no idea why they make me wait anyway, I paid for the slip and I paid for the winter storage, they are getting their monies worth. By the looks at the ever growing number of empty slips they have each year here you would think they would like to keep recurring customers. Each year the Inner Harbor is looking better and better to me.

That's impressive! I'm still shrink-wrapped for another 2-3 weeks and plan on going in the first week of April.

Not many red hulls around, looks snazzy. I don't want to make you jealous, but we had 86 degrees here on Sunday and we worked on ours all day. But we took her out for a couple hours just to run around a bit first before heading in.

Its still ski season... Don't even want to think about boating yet... I will start to think about boating after Easter break... Each season has its fun factor... Here's a pic from last week out the back or condo...

This weather has taunted me long enough...I think I pulling the shrink wrap off this weekend. We might be hitting 70 tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with my Mom. She said its raining really hard & its only 47*F . :wow:

High 81*F here in Honolulu. .

I keep thinking of all those "Big Snow Falls" we've had in APRIL!!!! :smt021 We're heading down to Antigua next week for a couple, maybe the weather will be sorted out by then!!
