Obama Term 2 (from a Canadian):

God help Americans, at least those who pay taxes; those that don't will continue to rejoice.

I may be wrong, but I just don't see any evidence that Obama is willing to do anything significant about the ever increasing debt, other than to continue spending. There are Obama supporters many who still blame Bush, but even with the Iraq war, Bush increased the debt by about $4 trillion in 8 years to about $10 trillion. Obama has increased the debt by $6 trillion in 4 years. At his current rate of deficit spending, Obama will have raised the debt by $12 trillion in 8 years.

Please tell me I have the wrong impression about what is happening.

Jacob, you are correct, this country is in huge trouble. This President has made it clear borrowing and spending is is of no concern to him and has even said countless times we don't have a spending problem. The majority of American [Voters] have signaled they would rather have free goodies from the government now rather than worry about our children's, or even our own future. For some reason the shrinking majority of "givers" could not get enough people to the voting booth to get that clown out of office. Thank God we have term limits although there have been some rumblings about a possible attempt to repeal the 22nd Amendment if the Dems win enough control in 2014. Not sure how realistic that is but definitely a risk. Either way, this President will leave a legacy that will be felt for generations to come and not in a good way. But then again, it is all Bush's fault, right?
