This is what happens, when Black Lives Matter, wins:

One block from my house, sadly AP Hill comes down today. We lost a piece of history.

"Once the stone base is fully opened up by workers for Team Henry, the Black-owned contractor that has overseen demolition of almost all the city’s monuments, a crew will extract Hill’s coffin." It will "turn the page and start a new chapter for our city of Richmond."

I think we call that chapter, The End :)

Pathetic. I used to like Richmond. For a place that doesn't get much snow, you sure have a lot of snowflakes. @Iprof would enjoy it there though.

Yankee here, we won, don’t make us send this guy down there again, would have thought once was enough..

This to me is not even about North versus South, Union versus Confederates, etc. I was born in Maryland, have lived in Richmond since high school. It's about idiots protesting and trying to rewrite history. And foolishly taking away a piece of history.

Some are hiding behind a "it's an unsafe intersection" proclamation, absolutely ridiculous. It's a freaking roundabout, well documented and researched; they are completely safe, safer even. The same idiots are going to get rid of the roundabout and repave it, again using my tax money.

They are "history deniers" and are doomed to repeat it. Imagine what they'd try doing if they weren't so "tolerant". What's funny is they throw shade at "climate deniers" and "election deniers" but "history denier" fits their narrative, so it's fine. Small minded hypocrites.

Oh I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times they are not forgotten;
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.

History is history and taking down statues is not going to change that. It is a shame what has been going on next they will want to hit the museums and then history will be lost.

Just and fyi, Maryland is south of the Mason-Dixon line.

I do hope that one day that all the statues and others landmarks that have been taken down over the last three years are placed in one location for all to see and not only see that there will be a explanation of the history and significance of each.

Each of them are a part of our history of America and it is wrong that they will be lost overtime in some warehouse.

Every state in our nation has statues and landmarks that have significance on how that state came to be and they all have a past from those times.

If we all remember from history class there was one crazy nut in Germany that did this from 1943 to 1945 until he put a bullet in his head.

As they move the grave my bet is it will be robbed of the artifacts they will suddenly be lost.

I just spoke with a lady at Gloucester Courthouse. The memorial there will remain in place, just as the voter demanded

Just curious......who feels better now that the statues are down, the names of schools and highways changed?

What @Quint4 said...

Ugh, and don't even get me started on street names changing overnight in my neighborhood. "Confederate" street was renamed quicker than anything I've seen our gov't do.
