Robbie Knievel lived across the way from some family friends. We ran into him a time or two. Very cool guy. A bunch of us kids were riding in the back of a pick up and saw him riding a CR 500. We all waved to him. He turned and followed the truck for about a half mile before we stopped and he came over to say hi.

Oh, he was doing a wheelie the whole time he followed us... one-handed. It was impressive.

He does all that crazy stuff, and dies of pancreatic cancer, too young.

Being a huge Dawg fan for the University of GA, this one hit home. The Dawgs won a 2nd National Championship on Monday night, 1/9. This past Saturday, they had a parade and a ceremony inside Sanford Stadium in recognition of this accomplishment. Devin Willock was a sophomore Offensive Lineman that played in all 15 games in 2022 and would have started this coming season and was looking a very bright career in the NFL. 12 hours after the ceremony, he and another NFL bound lineman and 2-staffers were involved in a one car accident. Devin was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the staffers later died at the hospital, the other football player, Warren McClendon, was treated for minor injuries, and the other staffer remained in critical condition yesterday. Below is likely what was his last social media post.

They were on their way to meet others at a local Waffle House. My first thought was alcohol was involved, but no mention of it yet. Two power poles completely clipped and a tree or two were hit. Obviously he was not wearing a seat belt as he was ejected from the vehicle. So sad....

David Crosby, a founding member of bands Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, has died. He was 81.

 

I guess it really has gotten to the point where he is no fun anymore. Too soon?

Great band. Enjoyed the music throughout the years. But they pissed me off in the early 90s. A friend got back stage passes for one of their concerts . Soon as the show was over they were on the bus and gone.

 

On the other hand, David Crosby made it to 81!
