The Grim reaper strikes. Official death thread

I live near Pittsburgh and they are/have been planning an event for this weekend to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the Immaculate Reception. Franco was supposed to be there. along with several Steelers and Raiders players from that era. When they tore Three Rivers Stadium down they built Heinz Field next to it. There is a spot in the parking lot with an X on it that is the spot Franco scooped up that ball that day. The celebration is going to be on that spot this weekend. And they were supposed to retire his jersey. Sad indeed and the timing is unreal.

EDIT: just did a search and there is a monument on that spot now. When they built Heinz Field they had put an X down on that spot

I don't know anyone who drives in NASCAR. But my son played soccer in college, so I've watched a lot of soccer over the years. Just giving the benefit of my vast experience with the sport.;):D

Also, 2 police officers near Pittsburgh were shot today and one has passed away. Suspect was later shot and killed. Then Damar Hamlin Buffalo Bills), from a few miles away from where the police officers were shot passed out on the field and CPR was performed. At this time his condition is unknown.
Rough night. Prayers for all!
 
Wonder what the cause might be for these athletes dying suddenly of cardiac arrest?

Or commotio cordis... yes, that's a thing where a young athlete receives a blow to the chest and the heart stops. Usually prevalent in young baseball players in pitchers and catchers. If you watch the hit, he takes the blow directly in the chest as he makes the tackle. Gets up walks a step and collapses.

No need to bring political vaccine crap into this discussion at this point.

We didn't know you were a cardiologist. Tell us doctor, how familiar are you with Sudden Adult Death Syndrome? How about ADE? VAED? Your ignorance and bias is showing in spite of the evidence easily researched...I'll leave you to it to edumacate yourself.
