Michael Nesmith: The Monkees

Robert Michael Nesmith (December 30, 1942 – December 10, 2021) was an American musician, songwriter, actor, producer, and novelist.

R.I.P. John Madden, one of those rare personalities that I never heard an ill word spoken of. Never been a huge football fan but I do remember enjoying watching him call the games I did catch.
Carpe Diem
I do not remember him as a player, but do remember him as coach of the Raiders. And of course his broadcasting career. He always did the Thanksgiving game and the turkey, never flew, always took his RV from game to game.

I forgot about that, "the turkey never flew". Lol I think even He would laugh about that one.

RIP Mark Roth and Mo Pinel.

Mark was a hall of fame pro bowler that set several records. I got to know him a little around 2002 when he came to town and started running a bowling alley near me where I coached the youth league. Unfortunately it was when the internet was pretty new so I didn't get to appreciate what he meant to the sport until way later. Bowled with him a few times.

Mo was an engineering genius and designed and created new bowling ball technologies. Both died within the past few months. Never met him.

He was definitely Mister Football. Really odd how different people fear different things. You would think standing face to face with 11 guys that can whip a rhino that are just waiting for the signal to come rip you apart, would prepare you to pretty much be ready for most any challenge. The brain is a strange and powerful organ.
