The Good and the Bad about your current boat

07 320:
Good: Roomy cabin (compared to the smaller boats we were looking at!), shallow draft, less than 3’ we typically anchor in high waist to chest deep water for easier access to shore, easy to handle and maneuver (v-drive and thruster), great for weekends or simple 3 hour trips, can be stored in the water or dry docked (pretty much the largest boat we can have and still have the option to store inside on a rack, love the color and the look/design, large swim platform.

Bad: gas inboards, engines are just not made to be in salt water, diesels +straight shaft or outboards on next boat. Engine room access is awful. Range, 200 gallon tank = 140-160 mile range, would like a solid 300 mile range. Colored hull is a bit more work.

The Good
Perfect size for the two of us, with room for day boating with guests
A/C
Generator
Twin 5.0 Power
Full Size Head
Paid For
Fits into our high and dry
Handles well, can singlehand if needed

The bad
Bravo III's
Wish we held more fuel

Why are the bravo III’s bad?

Why are the bravo III’s bad?

They are a good drive, strong, with great propulsion and extremely maneuverable but they require close attention to exterior finish deterioration as excessive corrosion can end up costing big BOAT bucks. They can be a lot of work depending on where they are stored.
Rack/trailer, fresh water, salt water are the best to worst scenarios. The integrity of the boats electrical and bonding system are imperative if stored in the water as is the mercathode system especially in salt water.

Oh, and lets not forget the dreaded bravoitis:https://www.google.com/search?q=bra...ft:en-US:IE-Address&ie=&oe=#spf=1566606113734

460 Sundancer:
GOOD
Hard top
Hydraulic swim deck
Two heads and showers
Large master shower
Enough room to sleep 8 however just right for two
Larger refrigerator
Ice maker
Diesel, Diesel, Diesel... love the power and no CO when running the gen
Good cockpit sitting and room
For the most part great engine room and easy DIY
Sexy lines and always gets compliments
.... could go on and on...

BAD
Diesel fuel on our lake this year has been holding at 530 a gallon.. x that by 400 gallon capacity... ouch!
Would rather have a traditional bed in the aft cabin with storage under it rather than the convertible couch
Starboard side of the starboard engine a pain in the ass to work on
Draft... the 460 has decent draft ... however we are on a lake and getting in tight shallow spots to camp can be be a little hair raising

Over all the 460 is a timeless boat with all the comforts one needs for a overnight or 30 days on it.
