In our short time as boaters the one thing that really stands out is the friendships that are made with your fellow boaters. We have met so many new people and forged long lasting friendships all from the boat and the marina. So when we heard that one of our fellow boaters here at our marina was diagnosed with cancer, of course we were concerned. Over the winter months he had successful surgery to remove the cancer but is now going through Chemo therapy. Well in a small effort to help him out we put together a group of very generous volunteers and spend the other morning cleaning, waxing, and getting his boat ready to splash. Even our MM Marina has volunteered to help out by doing the bottom painting for him.

We are all looking forward to seeing him and his family on the water very soon.

A special thank you to the crew of Sandy, Matt, Pat, Terry, Mark, Hans, and Ryan!

Bill...I have a hangnail and was wondering if your crew was available this weekend for a buff and wax....OBVIOUSLY kidding and what a wonderful group you are to do that. One can only hope to have friends like that in a time of need....Ric

Wow. I didn't think anyone cared anymore like this anymore - makes my heart feel good to read this and I'm sure God is smiling down on everyone who helped

I'm a cancer survivor myself so that hits home with me. Friends like you make the battle so much easier. My prayers are with your friend...Great job!

That is awesome... My prayers go out for this fellow boater and I am positive he is doing better knowing he has friends that care so much.

You're special people for sure...:smt038

Wow! boaters are a special group of people, for the most part very helpful! You have proven that! Your buddy has some awesome friends!

When Bill mentioned that he wanted to do this project for Joe, the only question was "WHEN"? As you can see from the photos, the work that was done was with much care and attention.

Get well soon and see ya on the water!

When Bill proposed this project for Joe the only question that was asked was "WHEN". As you can see from the photos, a lot of care and attention went into our work. It was my pleasure to be able assist.

Boaters helping boaters! Good theme for this season.
