I have read a few threads on the forward bilge pump.im on my third one.i have 1986 250 fisherman cuddy.the one i have now that seems to work the best is a rule that cycles on for a given amount of time and then shuts off if it doesnt detect anywater resistance.the other 2 had floats that liked to get hung up.boy the engmust have been asleep when they dreamed that location up.what a pain..i have even modified the step for easier access.has anyone ever just run a tube, maybe 1inch pvc from the front sump back to the rear bilge or even to the fuel tank??maybe even with a check valve in it.the tube should keep your centerlocker dry.

My pump has the wiring going through some pvc into the closet. Then to the bus bar and switch?
It has a manual switch and the pump has a float.
You can unplug the pump wires from the pump for easy pump replacement. (Wire Disconnects)

If I was concerned with water getting through the pvc into the closet. I would use a small amount of silicon sealer in the pvc pipe.

If you keep having float pump problems.
Check out a Water Witch.
Its a automatic elec pump switch with no moving parts.
