The days are getting longer!!!

You Alabama and Georgia boys better enjoy it while you can. I believe the bitter cold that blasted into Dallas today is heading your way.

4 days off and the weather's going to suck. Yuck!

It's all downhill from here! Bit by bit, the days are getting longer! And it can't happen soon enough. I think I've watched every boating video on YouTube....including sailing videos.

C'mon Spring 2020!!!
I’m with you sir! This is my happiest day of the year for that reason!

June 21 is my sad day of the year – for the opposite reason!

-17f right now, 30” snow on the ground, trees still down all over from last weeks ice storm. Can’t even get our and ride the snowmobiles. Time to get out of this godforsaken part of the country….Oh ya. Power went out at the cabin Wednesday night due to the ice storm. Had to run up and babysit the wood stove (so the place didn’t freeze up) until the power came back on Sunday night. Good times.

We picked up 1 minute today. Sunrise 8:00am sunset 5:03pm. Won't see the sun today. It was 37° at midnight. 13° now at 6:55am. Snowing sideways. Like walking into a sandstorm walking west with the dog a half hour ago. Zero activity outside. I was the only one out.

At 63 I try not to wish away any of the time I have left. But that was a real challenge last night when taking the trash out in 10° and the wind howling. I just can't imagine you guys up north.

Hopefully it'll be bearable to tinker in the garage by noon.

3 months, 8 days until my boat goes in. Usually too cold to spend much time on the after but I always feel better with the boat in the water!
You need to find a winter sport to enjoy.

As the boating season use to come to an end we always got excited about the coming winter of ridding the sleds. I use to take long weekends with the friends we boated with and would ride all weekend in the Adirondacks. That use to get me through the winter doldrums and before I knew it is was time to uncover the boat and crank it up again.

I moved to Maryland a few years ago and am now in the one of the best boating locations there is. But man the winters without the sleds are tough now a days. Counting the minutes until "launch" time.

Before there was boating, there was raising our twins. I loved the winter solstice because I could tell them it was time to eat, take a bath and go to bed all before 5:30 because it was dark!

I have two of those little shits…. Identical girls… both gave us one grandkid… I am living with the one twin while the house is being built…. She doesn’t respond to one command ….. so enjoy it while you can….. oh and the other thing this kid can’t cook a taco…. Yet thinks it’s the best meal on the planet…. You have to love the enthusiasm and the husband doesn’t say shit

@SKybolt is in one of the best boating locations, that's where I purchased my boat. I loved it so much I thought about buying a house there, just so I could use the boat there.
My boat after the snow bomb came through. Looks a lot like before it came through. Glad I left northern Ohio. Keep that snow.
