The 2014 NFL Playoff Thread.

When the Colts meet the Seahawks in the Superbowl, we need to renew the bet I had with Todd for all the Seattle & Colts fans here. You'd look good sporting a Colts Helmet for your avatar until training camp starts!
Sorry Scott. The ponys won't get past the Broncs

I grew up in Seattle and went to Seahawk games in the old Kingdome. I've always been a fan. For all of you that are touting the winning history of your teams you have to remember that they didn't start that way. Us Seattle fans have been waiting a long time for a solid football team combination to come along. There have been contenders over the years but not of this caliber.

I feel the 'Hawks got a bit over confident in a couple of their losses. In their 13 wins the score was an average of 27.84 - 12.33. In the 3 losses the scores averaged 23.3 - 18.3. A loss is a loss but they won by more than 2 TDs and lost by just less than one. The Fairy-niners beat them by 2 but lost by 26.

I think the Seattle fans have much to cheer about. If you look at the numbers it really should be Broncos and Seahawks in the SB. But the fun thing about all of this it doesn't always turn out the way you hope. It is going to be interesting.

. I mean like teams with many rings.

Ken, Ah, back in the good ole days when a couple of teams stockpiled players as there was no salary cap or free agency and I didn't give a f***. Now the NFL is a pretty fair deal to all comers, week 17 meant something to most teams , and best of all many of the dynasty teams that benefited from the old way are sitting out the playoffs. The NFL is the most popular sport because it is a fairly equal chess match that starts with the draft. The great teams are the ones that figure out that chess match like the best teams of the 2000's, the Patriots and Colts...

It was great to hold onto great players before free agency and the 49ers were the best at taking advantage. Other teams were doing the same thing, we just won more rings. That being said, the 49ers made bad decisions on coaches and some draft picks for a decade. With the group in place now, good draft decisions and coaching have had us in the 2011 NFC title game (which we should have won), the 2012 Superbowl (which we blew) and back in the playoffs again this year. It does go to show that it is truly the GM and Coaches that make the difference.

Kansas City looks pretty good so far! Alex Smith played like this once or twice for the 49ers, what gives?

Man, am I glad I didn't waste money on playoff tickets. The Colts SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew they'd be one and done, but didn't want to believe it. I believe it now.
I was about to say there is still time, then came the interception.

Man what a bad first half for Luck. Hope they find something in the locker room for the second half.
They only need 3 TD's to be back in the game.:wow:

Good thing no one took your offer Scott.

I hope they find a defense in the locker room. No matter how they score they have to have stops.

WTF is Luck looking at? He's throwing to the wrong team!

Back out into the garage to do some projects. What a blowout!

So, I go out to the garage, sand and apply a coat of finish on a table top and come back in. What happened? I just saw the last 4 plays of the latest drive and KC is on their heels!
