I found a couple of interesting changes on the 2008 240SD. For one it looks like they now have new Captain's Chairs..........the old Star Trek seats are gone. It also looks like there may be a glove compartment too? This one photo is a bit vague but that's what it looks like. Graphics are unchanged as is the rest of the boat.

Dave,

Looks like SR has ditched the Capt. Kirk chairs for many of the sport boats and Sundecks. This seat is just about identical to the ones in my 1999 230 and they are quite comfortable. Hey, what's old is new again.

Now, maybe I can update my 230 BR (Bow Rapsta) with some of the new Fission Graphics  .

Big thumbs up on the new seats. Just got back from our yearly TN River and Sea Ray Corporate/plant tour. During our plant tour at the Riverview plant did not see one of the startrek type seats. I had a good 2 hours hands-on with the SeaRay guys about the new 290SunDeck and we talked about the seats and I really like the newer seat. The smallest boat they make at the Riverview plant is the 260SD so did not see any of the smaller sport boats. They are made at the Tellico Plant.

Yea I looked at those pictures and only difference I saw from my 06 240sd and the 07 is the seat and the what looks like a glove compartment, but my first instinct is that glove compartment is on the starboard side and there is not any pictures of the head.

Wonder if they got rid of it.

So, Chuck have you put your order in for the 290SD?

No not yet, but it is one sweet boat when fully loaded (Grill, Windless, DVD, etc)

The seat looks generally like the one in my 2000 240. Did they change them along the way and now back? I haven't paid attention.

And that "glove box" looks like it IS on the port side. I'd love to see how they did it, but it appears to the the walk-thru windshield folded over in the back ground which would put the radio pretty far over???

It's hard to tell for sure.
