Taylor Made Windshield Screw Cover Gasket

Can some please confirm the part number for the Taylor Made Windshield Screw Cover Gasket. From what I dug up it looks to be 8229040.

I called Taylor Made and had inquired about what screw cover seal would be needed on my 33 Sundancer and was told I needed to go through a Searay Dealer for this part. Looking on line I can order part number 8229040 direct from Taylor Made. Just need to measure the length this weekend.

You can DEFINITELY order this part directly from Taylor as I and so many others have. I will look to see if I can find the part number. I also believe that if you do a good search here, via google, you may be able to confirm the number since I have seen it on here before. Just in case I can't find the number of mine.

I contacted Taylor Made and inquired about Screw Cover 8229040. The max vertical dimension per the print is .649 inches, a depth of .530 inches. I had though I measured the gap in the windshield frame at ¾ of an inch (.75)… The screw cover would be undersize by approx. .101 inches or 2.5 mm.

Back out to the boat tonight to remeasure!

Buy a foot more than you need. Let it sit outside in the sun for a couple of weeks before you cut it. It's going to shrink up some. I know from experience.

Ok… The Dimension of the gap on the windshield just a bit bigger than the ¾ of an inch that I had measured using digital calipers…

I strolled through the marina checking out other boats and it looks like part number 8349030 is the Screw Cover Gasket needed for my 33 Dancer (Replacing the Foam). The windshield gap was very common across many boat lines. The rubber screw cover gasket was used on a newer 33 maxim and a 33 Four Winns. The Searays local to my well all had the foam (2000 and older models I presume).
