Taylor made windshield gasketing

Well, it was worth a try! The rubber gasket from American Marine did not fit my 1997 290SDA Sundancer. It was not quite big enough to "grab" both sides. They make one larger, but it would be too big. So I guess I'll try to reach Taylor Made again...

For those thinking about getting the American Marine gasket that is one size up from this version, don't bother. -- They were nice enough to send me a sample, but unfortunately it is one full inch between the bottoms of the grooves and just does not fit properly in the 7/8" gap. One size too small and one size to large. We need the Goldilocks version in between that is "just right". The same exact profile would be perfect if the width between the grooves on the gasket was 7/8".

Thanks for the info!!

Yes, Naysmitj. That's what we're talking about. The Taylor Made rubber gasket replaces that original foam piece. I just installed it last weekend. Fit perfect.

If you want to do it a little cheaper, just take a sample to a commercial gasket place and they can match it and sell you whatever length it comes in-think mine was somewhere around $20'
