Anyone get theirs today? I hear they began sending them out today, if you filed early with a direct deposit you should see it soon. Should be a good bit of money with a wife and four qualified kids!

So, JL Audio is the speaker of choice?!?!:smt038

Refunds, what are they :smt021

Tell me about it...I had to pay this year! $6 !!!!!! Seems like a waste of a good stamp!

If you do decide to go with JL don't make the same mistake I did and not check with Jim first

Don't talk to me about the refunds.

Not only am I not going to get a refund . . . .but stupid, ill-conceived, and un-funded handouts like this do *nothing* but drive up inflation. Which will hurt me more than the stupid checks I wrote.

Personally. . .I am going to look for a fiscal conservative to vote for this fall. You know. . . someone who knows how to balance a checkbook . . I don't think any fiscal conservatives actually running, however.

Ok. . .political rant over. This posting IS in the holding tank afterall.

Economic stimulus my A** The more I look at those who will be receiving it, the more I realize it should be more like a brain stimulus check. Didn't they realize about 50% of those who get it will end up with it up in smoke  I'm sure glad the HUGE check I wrote out will keep many from experiencing withdrawal symptoms for a weekend :smt013 Call it what you will but thats where I see a majority of that money going. SB

Yeah Newbie, and lets not forget the 20% that will purchase items from China, to stimulate THIER economy. And the Other 20% that will buy fuel to stimulate the middle east economy, and the other 10% going to the mortgage companies, only to be funneled to their IT departments Offshore - AFTER the CEOs get their cuts.

So in retrospect, the 50% investing in a personal altered states might have a good idea. Of course these percentages are subject to change.

I don't know about you guys, but I got my check and I've already spent it on little old ladies in ohio making hand make ethanol flags to fly on my boat.

You are correct it is BS... I take mine an put into my kids savings accounts, trust me, some day they will need it the way we are going.

We filed late and got ours direct deposit late last week. Not much, but at least we did not have to pay.

So has anyone figured out a good way to write off the boat and it's related expenses? A buddy just got his captains license and thinks he can write off trips and expenses that way.

It goes by the last 2 digits of your ss#. They released 0-22 on the 28th. Next week will be the 23-?. Not really sure of the exact numbers since i won't be receiving any refund.

man.. if that doesn't kick up an audit red flag..... :smt009 I suggest talking to an accountant. There has been some discussions on here (but I'm to lazy to do a search this morning) about 2nd 'home' sort of writeoffs and such. You might try your luck searching. And by all means.. remember the sort of advice that some people spew on here... :smt101

Just got mine whoo whooooo!

$15....................

Are you f-ing kidding me?

I didn't think I qualified for any refund...........

$15 is a joke! I can't believe they would call that a stimulus(spel) check.

Oh well off to the movies I go with my $15.

I can't buy anything for the boat for $15.

is this discussion about tax refunds, or the stimulus checks? different animals that seem to be getting confused with each other.

You're right, I was thinking the discussion was stimulus checks, since that's what the OP was referencing, but the title says Tax Refunds, but it's changed from the discussion to the title
