The new CSR format seems a lot more friendly on the computer. But whatever you changed you broke the access to the Tapatalk mobile forum reader app. Are you planning to go to a different forum app? Hope not. Tapatalk seems to be the most popular by far.
I second the fact that Tapatalk doesn't work. I can log on via chrome but is there a new app for the forum?
I have never used tapatalk but will be on vacation next week and was going to load it to keep up with CSR
On the positive side, the mobile version of the website for the forum is better now. Well, it actually is a mobile version! So you won't be without CSR!
I believe based on limited research the new forum sofware is not compatible with Tapatalk. It's HTML 5 based thus the better experience on mobile browsers. I crated a shortcut on my home screen to new posts. Works nice in Chrome! Not too many mature apps on the xenforum software. Found forum talker sofware on Android and forum runner. But the mobile version on chrome is pretty darn good!
Holy crap. You geeked out on us there! And not in boatspeak, either! I could never have come up with all the details you provided, but I had a hunch the changes were incompatible with the TT app. It will be interesting what happens from here. Will they upgrade the app or will CSR cease to be on TT? I hope not. I'm on 3 other forums that use the TT app and it was nice having them all in one place. But you're right- the mobile site works well, even on Safari (I'm an iPhone guy).
So the new format isn't bad when viewing through a phone but without it working with an app like tapatalk we lose the notifications. So we no longer know when we get new posts on the threads we watch, when someone PMs, etc.. Hope there's a solution soon. The tapatalk app has now changed from giving errors to simply saying Club Sea Ray is no longer supported. Not a good sign I'm guessing...
Yeah, not good at all. CSR isnt the only forum I read thru Tapatalk. And the one app for all forums was a nice convenience.
I can't even find it within Tapatalk anymore. Bummer, because it was so easy to use and could upload photos etc...
Uploading photos is the big thing. And convenience. Would like it back but the new version is better than nothing.
Was there ever a solution to this? I have been off line since it stopped working... this mobile friendly site is nice, but I miss TY
