Tampa Boat Show

I would definatley like too; but the wife keeps asking why do you need to go to a boat show when you already own a boat. :smt018

So who knows? I may try to steal away with one of the kids.

It would sure be nice if they had avialable boat parking. you know come to the boat show in you're boat if you see something you really have to have you could do a swap on the spot.

boy would that be dangerous......

I was shooting for Saturday, but it looks more like Sunday.

Tom - My wife asks the same question....

I asked my sales guy if there will be any 08's there, he said there will me a mix, but mostly 07's. They are really pushing the 07's he said.

I see SR took down the pics of the 08' 290 Select. Must have heard all the complaints... :smt001

I'll be going sometime Saturday after I go pick some flooring up. My wife says the same thing about why are we going when we have a boat, but see she is even more dangerous she will say lets get a bigger boat. I really like looking and getting ideas for my boat.

I went and was pretty disappointing. Think I only saw 2 2008 boats the 290 Sundeck which is ok but no big deal to me. The only nice thing was it had a 497hp engine in it I bet that put's some wind in your face.

Also they had a 2008 310 Sundancer but it looked the same to me and now that I've learned how the angled bed (although looks like more bed) can cause issues for the person on the back side I am looking at an upgrade to a 320 at some point now.

Morph,

I couldn't agree with you more...I've got one word to describe the 'new' 290 SD..FUGLY...What a waste. I'd like to meet their 'focus' groups who help design these things. Plus they had the same boring boats there. That 270 SLX was the same boring one they had last year. Are they trying to sell boats or what? I just don't get it. Alot of other brands brought 06's, and most of the literature was for 07's..I'm thankful that my MM salesman gave me the tickets...

My salesman had me do will call, which it seemed anyone could get free tickets, all you had to do was go up to the will call window tell them Marine Max and then fill out the signin sheet and they gave you tickets.

Anyways if not for the free tickets and making some business contacts from the small vendors needing credit card processing, the $5 I paid for parking would of been a ripoff

It appears they have to many 06 and 07 boats left over and are trying to get rid of them before they show more 08's. However the 08 290 SD was sold (had a sold sign on it) but they were letting anyone just walk all over it, If it were my boat I wouldn't want another person on it.

The 07 310 was sold too and some kid put stickers all over the cockpit seat.

The number of kids running around on and off the boats was crazy and I was actually getting annoyed cause they were in the way trying to open/break anything they could put their hands on, I saw no parent supervision and MM didn't seem to care.

I waited all year for nothing :smt009

Once again Morph, it's as if you were reading my mind. Bad part is I brought some friends who are in the market for a new boat and I had them all pumped up for the boat show... Big disappointment.
